First Year Induction Program – 2016

The 16^th induction program of Vickram College of Engineering, commenced with the invocation on 2^nd August 2016 at 10.30 AM in Ramanujam Hall. Dr. S.Nagarajan, Principal, Vickram College of Engineering formally welcomed all the dignitaries on the dais, the parents and the freshers. He gave a brief account about the gentle beginning of this glorious institution. He also said that in addition to the core curriculum, the college offers gifted and learning supportive services, such as language training classes, corporate voice programs to provide holistic education to the students.

The Chairman, Mr.M.K.S.Sreenivasan, in his presidential address pointed out the value of knowledge and the responsibilities of the students to be carried out during their studies in college.   He also said that   hard work, determination and consistent effort are the key elements in achieving success, which is possible only with a fair code of discipline. He advised the students to let go of the fears and make use of the opportunities provided in the college effectively.     Then, the chief guest was honoured by the Chairman.

Ms. Grace Esther, III year ECE, gave the guest preamble. The Chief Guest Dr. E.K.T. Sivakumar, Professor, Centre for Nano Science and Technology, Anna University – Chennai gave his address. He advised the students to practice 3D's that is Dedication, Devotion and Determination in their lifetime. He further emphasised the students to be watchful of everything especially Words, Actions, Thoughts, Character and Hour. And he also encouraged the students to go behind their dreams until they concretize it with hard work, honesty and humanity. And he threw light on the importance of education and the responsibilities of the student at home and in their learning centers. Finally Dr. V. Punitha , Associate Professor, ECE, rendered her vote of thanks.
