Vickram College of Engineering, supported by the Young Indians, Madurai, has organised a one day CEO Connect session on “Sharing Success Stories and Entrepreneurial Journey” in the Turing Conference hall on 19-11-2014. Ms. Rajkumari Jeevagan, Founder & Managing Partner, Wings & Waalai Group of Hotels , has graced the occasion as the distinguished guest speaker. In her presentation she brought out various approaches for the development of women entrepreneurs. Being a multi talented and lauded woman entrepreneur herself, she narrated her personal success story of achievements. Diversified thinking, grouping of ideas together, steps in understanding and solving problems, the usefulness of each and everyone in an organisation and resource conversion into purposeful progress, doing rather than saying, selecting difficult paths to learn difficulties to find out solutions, are some of the points she stressed upon. To achieve, one must put heart and soul together. This day, 19^th November 2014, being The International Day of Women Entrepreneurs, must bring glory to all woman entrepreneurs, she wished.

50 students of Young India Chapter members reaped the benefit, participating in this event and the group discussion that took place consecutively. Dr. Vikram Srinivasan Joint Secretary, Vickram Schools and Colleges, welcomed the gathering and introduced and honoured the Chief Guest. Dr. S. Nagarajan, Principal, delivered the Vote of Thanks.  The management of Vickram College of Engineering has made elaborate arrangements for the successful conduction of this event.

A Pooled Drive for HCL Technologies Business Services (for passed outs) was held in campus on November 8, 2014.  Mr. Naresh, HR, addressed the students initially after which the selection process was done. A total of 20 students participated and 3 were qualified for the final  telephonic interview.

         An off-campus drive for Jegan Research Associates for the passed out students was conducted today, 3 Nov. '14, Monday, in Vickram College of Engineering. A total of around 30 students of varied educational background took part in this interview. The interview process began with a written test whereby 3 students were short listed for the HR round. 2 students were finally selected and were issued offer letter by Mr. Santhosh, and Mr. Naveen Kumar, DGM, HRs; and Dr. S. Nagarajan, Principal,  Vickram College of Engineering. They will be working with Jegan Research Associates as “Research Associate” with a package between 2-4lakh per annum.

         An ON CAMPUS  DRIVE by Great Innovus Solutions was held in our College on 1st November 2014 for the final year students of ECE & CSE. A total of 41 students attended this drive. In the first round of written test 15 students were shortlisted for the Technical round. Finally 7 students were selected (6 from CSE and 1 from ECE) and given offer letters by Mr.Kalyana Sundaram, the CEO, Great Innovus Solutions and by our principal Mr.Nagarajan. Selected candidates are expected to join the company on 2nd Jan 2015. Students would begin their probation period by carrying out their project works in Great Innovus Solutions. The selected candidates are Arun Sugumar, Sudharshan, Sriranjani, Gowtham, Vinoth Subramanian, Rajeswari, Alageshan. Congratulations to all the selected candidates.

The department of Civil Engineeing congratulates 2 university rank holders in April 2014 Anna University Examinations. P.Revathi secured 8.75 CGPA got 11^th rank and Lakshmi Mohandas secured 8.31 CGPA got 39^th rank.

               There was a mock interview held in our campus on 19th October 2014. Students from all the departments attended the interview. Each department were assisted by four staff members. After the interview feeback was given to the students  by the HR persons of Level one resources. Thankyou for the co-operation by all the staff members and students.

               There was a pooled recruitment drive held in our campus on 17th October'14 by Mobius Knowledge Services, Chennai. Students from various colleges attended this drive. The interview was conducted by the HR officials Mr.Muhammed Feroz, Mr.Senthil kumar assisted by Mr.Jeyachandran and Mr.Raghava Sreenivas. Two rounds (aptitude and HR ) were held and finally 4 students  were selected and given offer letters. Congratulations to the selected students.
