The program was started with welcome address by the student D. Jenira Begam. Mr.J.Saravanan, CEO, Smart Ant Technologies private limited, Chennai. He gave a lecture on “Social Media Awareness” for the students on 14th september 2017. He started with a brief introduction about him and his life experience. He shared about various problems using social media like face book, whatsapp & twitter etc. He told what’s happening while using facebook and how the psychometric test will be carried out from one’s face book account and how it impacts with his life and career. He insisted the students to come out from the social threatening game “BLUE WHALE” and advised how to remove the links and how to prevent the mobiles from such kind of links. The session was more interactive and useful. The lecture ended with vote of thanks by the student S.Suriya.

The Yuva Inauguration programme was organized in Vickram College of Engineering on 20th July 2017 at 10.30 am at Ramanujam Conference Hall. The welcome address was given by Ms.J.Punitha, Dept of CSE. The Joint Secretary, Mr. Vikram Sreenivasan gave the Presidential address. He gave an introduction for Young Indians (YI), an integral part of the Confederation of Indian Industry). He also submitted the Guest Preamble of the Chief Guest Mr. Kalyan Sundaram, Co-Chair YUVA, Director Great Innovus Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
In the Chief Guest address ,Mr.Kalyan Sundaram, the Co-Chair of YUVA &Director of Great Innovus Solutions Pvt. Ltd, gave a detailed description about Young Indians (Yi). He quoted that the Young Indians was formed in the year 2002 with an objective of creating a platform for young Indians, to realize the dream of a developed nation. He added that the Yi membership includes young progressive Indians between the age group of 21 and 40 and comprises entrepreneurs, professionals and achievers from different walks of life.
He also insisted the importance of engineering by illustrating the benefits of technology in the same field. He gave suggestions to the students by enhancing their skills in various fields like In-plant Training, Paper Presentations, Industrial visits, Intern-ships etc. He then stressed the learning strategies like Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Cloud Computing, Web Development, Neural Networks, Wireless Power, Robotics, Advanced Construction Techniques, Modular Plastic Construction, related to various departments like Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Moreover, he also gave an idea for resume preparation for applying to respective jobs. In conclusion, he insisted each and every student to be familiar with several skills to have a good resume which is applicable for all the jobs.
A MOU to facilitate the transition of the students into entrepreneurial mold to realize the vision of the developed nation was signed between Vickram college of engineering, Vickram Polytechnic college and Yi YUVA . The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Mr. Vikram Sreenivasan, the Joint Secretary of Vickram Schools and Colleges and Mr.Kalyan Sundaram, the co chair of YUVA.
Then the Vote of Thanks was given by the Principal Dr.S.Nagarajan, Vickram college of Engineering. To be highlightd this YUVA inauguration programme was particularly arranged by Mr.Vijay Sreenivas, the Director of Vickram College of Engineering and Mr.Clifford, the Executive Member of Young Indians.
The National Level Symposium was conducted by CSE, ECE and EEE departments,Vickram College of Engineering on 23.09.16. The program was started with the prayer song. Ganapathy from department of ECE gave the welcome address. The guest preamble was submitted by Chitra Ragunathan from department of CSE.
The chief guest, Mr. Sivarajah Ramanathan, founder and president of Native Lead Foundation and founder and president of SIDA,Tamilnadu, gave the chief guest address. He gave a detailed description about choosing the career goal. He also stressed the students to create interest in all fields with interest and he differentiated the meaning between passion and interest. He insisted that implementation the task is very important than getting advise from others. He said that we should feel very proud because Indians are the first Architect and Engineers before 20th Century. Thus he motivated the students to get involved in their job with curiosity.
Then Dr. David Chandrakumar, HOD, Department of Maths, felicitated the chief guest. The successfully got ended with the vote of thanks by Subhashini, from EEE department.
