ALL INDIA SEMINAR ON RECENT TRENDS IN WIRELESS AND MOBILE TECHONOLOGIES

Vickram College of Engineering in association with The Institution of Engineers, Madurai Local Centre organised a 2-day National level Seminar on RECENT TRENDS IN WIRELESS AND MOBILE TECHONOLOGIES on 4th and 5th March 2016. The program began with invocation. Er.R.Ponbadi, Chairman/IEI-MLC welcomed the gathering. Dr.T.Arivoli, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Vickram College of Engineering introduced the theme of the seminar. Dr. Nagarajan, the Principal, Vickram College of Engineering honoured the dignitaries. Dr. N.Sivasubramanian, Senior Scientist & Former CGM, ISRO, Trivandrum, submitted the chief guest address on the topic Wireless Communication in Satellites and Rocket Science . Er. R.Lakshiminarayanan, Executive Engineer, Protection and Communication, TANTRANSCO, gave a special address on PLCC systems in Power Lines and Fibre Optic Losses in Carrier Lines. The second day program started with the technical session. The chief guest, Er. R.Narayanasamy, AE, AIR, Madurai, gave a detailed lecture on recent developments in All India Radio, in the field of Radio Communication. And in the afternoon session, Er.P.Mohan, Former Executive Engineer, BSNL, Madurai, addressed the gathering on the Issues and Challenges in Telephone Lines. And this seminar covered all aspects of mobile learning as well as the emergence of mobile communication technologies, infrastructures and services and their implications for education, business, governments and society. Many papers were presented in the seminar. And prizes were distributed for the best papers. The program ended with the vote of thanks and with the national anthem.
