5th State Level Inter Engineering College Cricket Tournament was held between 12th April and 15th April, 2012 at KLN College of Engineering. P.Suresh Kumar of Final Year EEE was awarded as the Best bowler of the tournament. The college cricket team stood fourth in the tournament winning a cash prize of Rs. 1500. The Department of Physical Education wish the team a great success.

     IPAA Madurai Divsion Football tournament for emn was held between 24 Dec to 25 Dec 2011 at Alagappa polytechnic College, Karaikudi. VICKRAM Polytechnic college men 's  team were victorious.,beating the Annamalai polytechnic 5:4 in the final match and secured first place in IPAA Inter polytechnic Football tournament and broke the past record of Annamalai polytechnic college for 25 years.  The Management, Principal and staff congratulates the winners.

Our college football team played some sublime football to emerge as champions of the district, the tournament was organised by Sivagangai District Football Association.

Our college team beat Alagappa Chettiar College of Physical Education team in a thrilling semifinal match, Vickramce won 5-4 in the semifinals.

We went on to beat Rajas College Sivagangai 1-0 in the finals, Now we have qualified to play against all other district winners.

      A-2 day State Level Volleyball Tournament for schools was held on 8th & 9th Dec. '11 at Vickram College of Engineering, Enathi. 12 teams of various schools actively participated in it with full vigor. Mr. M. K. S. Sreenivasan, Chairman,  inaugurated this tournament with his maiden service of the match; following which, the preliminary level match began between teams. At the end of day one, Mangayarkarasi & Govt. hr. sec. school; EBG & Velammal school were qualified for the semifinal match that was held on 9 Dec. '11.

     At the closure of this nerve-racking match, Mangayarkarasi bagged the Vickram Trophy with ease; a cash award of Rs. 3000, gold medal, along with the winner’s trophy was presented to them. Velammal took its runners up trophy with a cash award of Rs. 2000, and silver medal. EBG, who settled third was offered with a cash prize of Rs. 1000, and bronze medal. It's not to be forgotten that Mangayarkarasi emerges victorious for the second consecutive year ever since VCE has hosted this championship.

    The valedictory function was decked with the presence of Mr.P.Vishnuprasath Chief Educational Officer, Sivagangai, Mr. S. R. Vijay Shrenivas, Director, Mr. M. S. R. Rajsanthosh, Secretary, Mr. M. S. Vikram, Joint-Secretary, The most thirlling championship tournament came to a fine closure with the support of Dr. S. Kathirrvelu, Principal, and Prof. S. Nagarajan, Administrative Officer; and the team work of the Physical Education Department who were a part of the Valedictory ceremont too.

     A district level tournament was organised by Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu on 22nd November, 2011 at the Government Higher Secondary School, Thirupuvanam. The Volleyball and Basketball team of the Polytechnic college was victorious in the tournament. The College Football team was victorious in the tournament. The Management, Principal and the Department of Physical Education wish them success.

              Anna University Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament for men was held at the college on 10th October , 2011. The Principal, Dr.S.Kathirrvelu, inaugurated the tournament. There were 8 colleges which participated in this tournament. After the league matches the semi-final matches were played. The first Semi-Final match was played between P S N A College of Engineering and Mohammed Sathak College of Engineering in which P S N A College of Engineering won the game. The second Semi-Final was played between K L N College of Engineering and R V S College of Engineering in which R V S College of Engineering Dindigul was victorious.

            In the finals PSNA, Dindigul beat RVS College of Engineering convincingly. ANNA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY- TRICHY INTER-COLLEGIATE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT-2011 was won by PSNA, Dindigul. Winning trophy, merit certificates and medals were given to the wining team by the Joint Secretary Mr.M.S Vickram. Runners up trophy was given by the secretary Mr.M.SR. Rajsantosh.

    A District Level Athletic Meet was organized at Sivagangai District Sports Stadium by Sports Development Authority of Tamilnadu on 29-08-2011. K.Muthubharathi and P.Subash Chandra Bose of II Mechanical Engg bagged the First Prize in Triple Jump and Long Jump respectively. Praise Joseph, final year EEE secured IIIrd Prize in 200mtrs Sprint . The Management, Principal and Physical Education Department congratulate them on this achievement and wish them the good luck for the future events. 

            'Vickram Chess Championshiop for Schools-2011' was organised in the college premises on 9th July, 2011. In this District Level Inter School Chess Championship 270 students from 21 schools participated for lifting the prestigious Vickram Chess Championship for Schools- Founders Trophy-2011. In the valedictory function the Principal, Dr. S. Kathirrvelu welcomed the gathering. The Chairman Mr. M.K.S Sreenivasan, gave the presidential address and said that the Colleges has been organising a series of events for various schools and colleges to emphasise on the fact that “ All round development of the students is the order of the day”. He added that today the student community has to excel in all the fields namely education, sports and other cultural activities to become successful in life. He appreciated the team work of the Physical Education Department to make this event a successful one. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Azhagumalai, District Sports Officer, Sivagangai. In his address he said “Sports and Studies are just like two eyes of human beings and one has to give equal importance to both for facing this competitive world”. The Chairman awarded the prizes in which Anita Bharathi of Dolphin School bagged first prize for Under 13 girls category. In the category of Under 13 Boys B.S Girinath of Dolphin school bagged first prize, whereas Karthic Raja N. from Nadar Hr. Sec. School secured first position in the above 13 years boys category. A certificate, trophy and cash prize of Rs 1000, Rs.750 and Rs. 500 were given to the winners of the first, second and third prize respectively. The programme came to the end with a vote of thanks proposed by the Dean of the college Prof. M. Palanikumar.

      District Level Chess Tournament was conducted by Chanakya Chess Academy for the above 19 years (Senior) category on 10-4-11 at Sri Prasanna Venkateshwara Matric School, Madurai. There were 30 participants from various colleges who registered their participation in this tournament . T. Arasappan of First Year EEE was victorious of all. He was awarded with a shield and a merit certificate for his grand display of wit and sharpness of mind. The Management, Principal, staff and students wish him many more success to come.

               4th State Level KLN Krishnan Memorial Rolling Trophy Cricket Tournament was held at KLN College of Engineering between 6th and 9th April, 2011. There were 12 teams in the competition for the title. College cricket team exhibited extraordinary cricketing talent and P. Suresh kumar of III year EEE scored 95 runs and took 5 wickets to bag the Best Batsman award. The final match was played between the host and the college cricket team, in which our team lost, the Runners Up Rolling Trophy was presented to the team. The college cricket team also received the cash award of Rs. 3000. The Management, Principal and the Physical Education Department wishes the college cricket team all the best for their future matches to come.
