Workshop on Optimization using Statistical Tools on 22nd & 23rd November 2013

About the Workshop:
It is widely accepted fact that there is a strong need for Research in engineering .The various Statistical Software packages will also aid the faculty, researchers and students not only in engineering but also in Management. The topic “Optimization using statistical tools” is designed with the objectives to familiarize the participants with various research tools and its usage through Statistical Package for the Social Sciences(SPSS).This would facilitate the easy application of various tools in real time research. This program intends to satisfy the participant’s quest for knowledge on using the right tools for their research with the help of the software. This program was designed to equip the participants with adequate knowledge and skills to analyze the data and to give an insight in to the techniques of statistics.

Objectives:
• Enrich the researchers and faculties to define research problem and framework.
• Guide faculty and researchers in developing suitable research methodology and data analytic tools.
• Provide hands on experience of the models and tools used for conducting research in the different subject domains.
• Provide exposure to the participants in various statistical methods, research and understand advanced issues of research like structural equation modeling.

List of topics to be covered
• Hypothesis Testing
• Correlation and Regression
• Statistical Function
• Data Analysis Tools
