Mohamed Sulaiman, Chairman, IET- VICKRAMCE Student Chapter introduced the guest to the gathering.
In his presentation Mr. Clement said “ Mind is our best friend and a worst enemy”. Controlled mind is the key to success. He further said that we should be the masters of our minds and develop a good temperament to break the barriers which we face in our lives. We must stop complaining and blaming others, instead we should develop the attitude of seeing the positive side of any issue. “Each day be happy and be free”. Have high self-esteem and find the best friend within your self. God has created everyone with unique quality and talents; which must be identified by the individual and exhibited at the right time to the world. We are the architects of our lives therefore, the foundation stone for a happy life must be laid early and wisely.
The happiness which we are trying to search from the materialistic things and external factors is within us. “Well begun is half done” . 'The longest journey of life starts with one single step'. He added “ Failure is the stepping stone to success”. Mr. Clement conducted various activities during the workshop which motivated the students to never give up in any circumstances in their lives. Several activities were conducted in the workshop for the students to recharge and kindle their spirits. The students found Balloon, Ball and Pencil games to be very interesting. Motivational videos of Nick Vujicic and Susan Boyle were shown to the students. 103 student members of IET registered their interest in this programme and reaped the benefits. V.
