Well, passion for the sport comes with some information on it.Here are some amazing details on what goes into making a formula one car.

Formula one cars have only a single seat in an open cock pit;where the racer takes on the track focusing on the win. However, this thrilling speed sport has seen several accidents and costed the life of several sporting legends in the quest of a win. Therfore, this season, the Federation Internationale de I' Automobile or the FIA has clamped down on the sheer power of these machines and they will now run with a 2.4 litre engine unlike the earlier 3.0 litre engines. They will also come with a V8 configured engine with a maximum of four valves to a cylinder.

Do you know that the carbon clutch in a modern formula one car is a mulitple design and is built less than four inches in diameter and weighs less than a kilogram?

The F1 cars are made of carbon fibre and other light weight materials; which are very expensive. The rules which calls for a F1 car is to weigh at least 600kg including the driver and other accessories. However, several cars weigh an incredibly low 440kg and ballast is added to make it come up to the legal weight. The steering wheel literally ensures that the driver is in full command of the situation and control setting like the gear change, fuel adjustment, ratio contacts traction setting, etc. are situated within the easy reach of the driver  right on the steering wheel itself. An LCD screen in the wheel tells the driver the details  like lap times, speed,RPM and gear. And hold your breath the steering wheel that weighs merely 1.3kg;costs a whopping $40,000.
