A Guest Lecture session was organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering on 28-01-2011 at the conference hall of Vickram College of Engineering for the II and Pre- Final year students of EEE. The Resource Person was Er. S. Rajarathinam, Executive Engineer(Retd.),TNEB. The programme commenced with the welcome address given by the Principal Dr.S.Kathirrvelu. After that the Resource Person explained about the security measures taken in the generation and distribution of the power. He further provided information to the students about power system network- Relay, Breakers and surge diversions. In the second session he interacted with the students and encouraged them to update their knowledge in this field. The programme came to the end with the vote of thanks proposed by the Head of the Department of EEE, Mr.P. Sivachandran. 130 students and staff participated in this programme and reaped the benefits.
