The IET-VICKRAMCE Chapter organized a Competition "THOUGHT SPARK” for the IET student members of our college. The competition was conducted on 29 Aug. 2013 (Thursday) from 2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. in the Ramanujam Conference Hall. The programme was organized by the IET student members of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Forty members from all branches except the organizing branch participated in this competition. The IET-VICKRAMCE Coordinator Mrs. Anusha A.K.R.S. initiated the proceedings and facilitated smooth and successful conduct of the competition.

The competition comprised of four rounds viz. ‘Flawless Flow’, ‘Searching Scholars’, ‘Recognize Renown’ and ‘Blacksheep Behind’. Forty members participated in the first round. A topic was given to each participant on the spot and each of them was asked to talk about the topic maximum for one minute without using any breaking statements like umm… ah… etc. Out of the forty participants, the top fourteen were selected for the next round. The fourteen toppers were grouped into seven teams with two members per team. Out of these seven teams, four teams were selected at the end of the second round ‘Searching scholars’ which had three sub events - ‘First to’, ‘Father of’ and ‘Award for’. From these four teams, the top two teams at the end of the third round ‘Recognize Renown’ were selected for the final round. The winning team was selected at the end of the final round ‘Blacksheep Behind’.

The IET student members Mr. Sakthi sundhara vignesh (III-CIVIL) and Mr. Alagardevan (III-CIVIL) emerged as the ultimate winners. The questions which were not answered by the participants were passed to the audience. So the audience also took part in the competition with equal enthusiasm along with the participants. The IET-VICKRAMCE Coordinator Mrs. Anusha A.K.R.S. distributed the prizes to the winners.
