14th Sports Day & College Day

          There was an attractive celebration of the 14^th Sports Day & College Day on 10^th of February 2015 in the college campus. The Sports events took place in the forenoon, and the Chairman Er. M.K.S. Sreenivasan initiated the events. Several students took part in the Sports and Athletic events with ardent involvement. The winners were selected by judges, and were awarded in the evening college day function.

      The College Day was held at 05:30pm the same day. The function started with a prayer song and Dr.T. Arivoli, HOD, ECE, welcomed the audience. Principal Dr. S. Nagarajan, presented the annual report, listing the various activities of the college conducted in the course of the academic year 2014-2015. The remarkable achievements of the college were very well applauded by the audience.

     Er. M.K.S. Sreenivasan M.E., Chairman, delivered the presidential address. He described that the growth of the college is purely attributable to the remarkable services of the teachers. He appreciated the Principal and the Faculty Members for bringing the college to the 75^th rank in academic results. Moreover, he motivated the students to go farthest to gather quality education. He encouraged the students to enhance their inter and intra personal skills especially to get placed in foreign countries. He also stressed that media should be utilised in a proper sense by the students. He insisted the students to make themselves employable with provided opportunities.

        Before the guest preamble the chairman honoured the chief guest and the memento was given by Mr.Santhosh ,the secretary and Mr.Vickram, the Executive Director of the college.

       After the honouring ceremony, the students who had shown merit in their studies, and athletic events, were awarded by the chief guest.

        The Chief Guest Thiru S.Raja, famous debate (pattimandra) speaker, made a soul-throbbing speech, and held the students spellbound, and mesmerized for an hour, by touching upon the essential aspects of a successful life. The Chief Guest praised the Chairman Sri M.K.S. Sreenivasan, for turning Srinivasa Gardens into a citadel of learning, and for rendering remarkable services as an educationist, moulding and making the lives of thousands of youth every year. He talked about the importance of hard work by illustrating the culture and the working model of Japan. He advised the students to develop passion for making achievements in life. His inspiring speech kindled the competitive spirit of each and every student in the campus.

       The function was followed by a few remarkable cultural events. Finally, the 14^th Sports Day & College Day function came to an end, with the vote of thanks delivered by Dr.P. Sivakumar, HOD of Mechanical engineering.
