Purpose behind starting TECHIE ?

Internet has become a standard medium of communication.

Internet has changed from a "nice to have" to a "must have".

The Purpose behind starting TECHIE :

1. It is easier to learn swimming in water.

It shows your ability to communicate with others.

In doing so, you learn.

Have the will and purpose to do (write) something, how to do (write) will follow.

Write purposefully to advance mankind and civilization.

A shortcut to avoid those boring english communication classes.

2. We have this

Techie Magazine, annual college magazine.

In Jan/Feb 2009, ECE students (girls) made an appeal to me that we don't release it on time.

Which was very true. Because everyone is busy in daily college events, we don't find time to collect, review, print & publish the magazine in time.

Failures in 2008:

We did try out this in college intranet server where every department had the task of developing their own website. But it did not go very well, as every staff or student had to know little web development, which was difficult for all departments except CSE, IT.

Discussions in Mid-2009:

Gopi, 2005 ECE, gglow helped me out in trying few things on his laptop. But the first idea never felt this good.

After that I had lot of discussions with many well-wishers and experimentations.
It was in July, we did all the testing and etc.

College website was running on a windows environment.
Techie.org was already taken. So we settled for uenathi.org/techie. All for Good.

So we have Techie now, that is always published [since August 10th 2009].
As of writing this we are in the process of converting Techie content 2008 and 2009.

3. Extending classrooms to homes. Same as first reason.

Advance yourself first. Don't worry about your english.

Correct your content later, as per reviewer comments.

4. We have only started, going forward you can change it include anything, like

interview questions, puzzles, games, etc
