CSE Department organized seminar on Cleanroom Software Engineering for Zero Defect Software sponsored by CSIR from 1st to 5th Oct 2012. Software Engineering Eminent Professors and Industrialist shared their exclusive knowledge on Recent development and research findings in Software engineering. 80 participants - comprising Under Graduate and Post Graduate students and Faculty Members from various colleges participated in this programme.

Security Vulnerability Protection. Dr. P. Venkatakrishnan from Vickram College of Engineering, Enathi shared his knowledge about Receiver Output Characteristics. Dr. N. Sivaram from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai disclosed research trends in Software Configuration Management. Mrs. A. M. Abirami from Thiagarajar College of Engineering,Madurai gave a hands on Protege v3.x tool, and explored Semantic Web Technologies ( Ontology, RDF, SPARQL). Dr. R. Rajaram from Vickram College of Engineering, Enathi gave a presentation on Quantitative Estimation of a Software. Dr. A.Askarunisa from Vickram College of Engineering, Enathi presented on Cleanroom Software Engineering Vs Traditional Software Engineering and gave a hands on session Latex Documentation. Dr. S. Saravana Kumar from M.A.M College of Engineering,Trichy explored Classification and Clustering. Dr. S. Selva kumar from Thiagarajar College of Engineering,Madurai presented on Mining Software Repository for Defect Prevention. The Seminar ended with the interactive session by Er. V. Ramprakash, Director , Industrial Estate, Madurai on Embedded Software Devaelopment. The feedback from the participants was quite encouraging.
