Guest Lecture By Mr.V.Jeya Muthu Mahesh on " Importance of Team Work in Industries"

         A Guest Lecture on " Importance of Team Work in Industries" was organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering on 31-1-11 at the conference hall for II Year and Pre-Final year students of Mechanical Engineering. The Resource Person was Mr. V. Jeya Muthu Mahesh,Asst.Manager-HR TVS Novotema,Elastomeric Engineered Products (P) Ltd. Madurai. The programme commenced with the welcome address given by M. Iyyappan, class-representative of III Year Mechanical Engineering. Shiek Mohammed Mather, III Year Mechanical Engineering student introduced the guest to the gathering. The presidential address was given by the Principal Dr. S. Kathirrvelu. After that the Resource Person gave his presentation on 'Importance of Team Work in Industries'. In his presentation he explained the students about the advantages of team work, objectives of team work, types of team, team structure and team formation. In the second session he spoke about Qualities of a team leader. He said that a good leader should back up his team and should lead the team from front. The programme came to the end with the vote of thanks proposed by Shal Jomon Joseph of III Year.
