Easy ways to Crack your Exams

Dear Students, I intend to bring forward the following proven points to help you achieve good results with high marks, in all the exams you are appearing in.

Preparations well Before the Exams

1. Getting good marks and pass results is the easiest thing we all can achieve. This, I learnt from my own experience, when I have passed my MBA and M.Phil examinations in I class recently.

2. A student is meant to be studying his subjects at least 3 hours a day, after the Class/College hours. In the class she/he has to listen the lectures with total dedication.

3. Ask and clarify your doubts. This will not only help you, but also the lecturer.

4. Always study the text book. Though it seems to be enormous in size, the language used is easy to understand, as these have been recommended by experts in the field.

5. Refer dictionaries for difficult words. If you happened to work in our college computer you are provided with the open thesaurus facility.

6. Study the Right Info in the Right manner. This means, maths and problematic subjects have to be not only read but also practised. English has to be improved by communicating more and writing more.

7. Know the what and when of the “Exam”. “How” is discussed below.

Time Management

TIME, these four alphabets drive every action of our life and when it comes to exams, it is your primary deciding factor in terms of preparation and execution.

This article will throw light on two main aspects of time management.

1.Time Management Before Exams: Send the Application well in Time, properly filled up, with correct amount of fees, as prescribed, to the correct address. Our college office staff members relieve you from this task. Keep your Hall ticket, and College ID card ready. Note down the time and date of the exam and the subjects in a separate paper and keep this for your ready reference.

2.Time Management During Exams:

a) Your answers must be to the Point

b) Answer all the questions

c) Balance the time, never leave an answer incomplete for want of time.

Some more Hints:

Study Hints:

1.

Spend at least one hour each evening after class working on assigned homework problems.

2.

Take notes- writing neatly. The material you scribe in class will help in your exams.

3.

Read over all in-class notes each day after classes are over.

4.

Do not miss class unless it is an emergency.

5.

It is your responsibility to get the notes from another student if you miss class.

6.

When studying for a test, practice each kind of problem until you are confident with the material.

7.

If you are confused in class- please ASK QUESTIONS. Lecturer will gladly help you.

8.

Do not hesitate to meet Lecturer when you need extra help.

9.

 Complete all assignments/seminar/projects on time.

Exam Hints

1.

The night before the exam give yourself a "practice" test with one of each kind of problem.

2.

Get to exam hall early on the day of the exam. This will help you to be relaxed.

3.

Read over the entire questions before starting.

4.

Begin with the easiest problems or the ones that you feel most confident with.

5.

Write out the formulas you are using, labelling the variables.

6.

Show all steps of your work. You have a better chance for partial credit if you show all work.

7.

Write neatly. Evaluator can not give partial credit for what he/she can't read.

8.

If you get stuck on a problem, skip the problem, go on to the next one and come back to it later.

9.

 If your mind goes blank:
 * take a deep breath.
 * Stretch your muscles.
 * Close your eyes for a minute and relax.
 * Look back over the test, until you find a problem you can start on.
