Guest lecture on "Career Guidance and Industrial Expectations"- Report

A Special Lecture Session was organized on 6-9-11 at the conference hall for the final year students of ECE, CSE, IT and EEE. The resource person was Dr. Dennis Rajakumar, Associate Dean (Academics) , IBS Bangalore. He gave his presentation on 'Career Guidance and Industrial Expectations'. In the first session, he discussed with the students about choosing the right career. He asked the students to concentrate on their strength and choose the career in which they can work with full involvement. In the second session, he showed a power point presentation on Group Discussion and said that in group discussion one needs to take initiative and also master over summarizing the discussed points. He also focused upon Interview Skill and said that it is not the test for the selection of the 'Eligible' but the selection of 'Suitable'. The program came to the end with an open discussion. 274 students and staff participated in this program and reaped the benefits.
