T.Muthuvel- a Mechanical Engineering student of 2009 batch shares his experience with the students of Pre-Final and Final Year students of Mechanical Engineering.This programme was held in the third year class room on 5-07-10.

T.Muthuvel who is presently working as Quality Engineer in Sun Pressing Pvt.Ltd Madurai, briefly discussed about his company.He also illustrated his experience in the company and advised the students to get themselves ready to meet the future challenges.He also discussed with the students about the 'Frequently Asked Questions' in the interview.In his interaction with the students he said that positive approach and right behaviour can only help them to be a successful employee.

                      An Interactive Session for the students of II year Mechanical Engineering was conducted in the Mechanical Department on 24-3-2010.  Arunkunjumon a passed out of 2005-2009 batch interacted with the students and shared his Industrial experience. He is presently working in SHIP YARD, Cochin as a supervisor in pipe section.

He shared his industrial experience with the students in which he said that, Engineers must know how to allocate suitable work to the suitable person. Further they must have friendly approach with the workers so that the works allotted to them should be completed perfectly within the time. He also explained about the necessity of software skill and communication skill in addition to their high score of marks in the university exam.

                       Mr.Senthil kumaran, Electrical Field Engineer, Jaypee cements, Himachal pradesh, who is our 2009 Batch passed out student had an interactive talk session with II year & III year students on 18.3.10. We appreciate his keen interest in making his oration more informative & interesting. During his speech, he emphazised the importance of practical knowledge to our students and encourage them to participate in paper presentation & project contest. He also shared his industrial experience & explained about the current openings in Industries and gave tips on how to face technical interviews.The students of our department took the maximum advantage during the interaction and updated their knowledge...

An Interactive Session for the III Year students of Mechanical Engineering was conducted in the college on 18-3-2010.  P.Arjun a passed out of 2005-2009 batch interacted with the students and shared his Industrial experience.He is presently working in PSG Foudary, Coimbatore in the designation of Maintenance Engineer.He has an industrial experience in three companies. He has worked in the designation of Supervisor in Premier Precision Surface (P) Ltd..Coimbatore and Aromen (P) Ltd..Coimbatore.He also has the  experience of working in Aquasub (P) Ltd Coimbatore in the post of production engineer.

He shared his industrial experience with the students in which he said that 'One must be prepared to seize the opportunities at the given time.' He also explained about the Work  Management in the industry.He further said that the students must prepare for the competitive exams and develop  their communication skills to get employment.

An interaction program was arranged in the civil department with Mr. Aneesh a passed out student in 2009 batch, working in Cochin construction had a conversation on “what are the recent trends expectation from a Civil engineer?” And the expectation of the employer, he also stressed upon to gather knowledge on GIS GPS, CADD... The students were inspired by his talk, specially his words on how to over come the arrears was excellent...

There was a Guest lecture delivered by S.Arumugam, a passed out student of 2005-2009 Mechanical branch. Prof.S.Abdul Karim Sait, HOD of  Mechanical Dept. welcomed the gathering. S.Arumugam a Production Engineer in Swarna Raj Pvt Ltd, (ISO Certified Industry) Coimbatore spoke about 'Latest Trends in Manufacturing' to the students of II year Mechanical Engineering.  In his presentation he shared his Industrial experience and advised the students to concentrate on the application of the subject rather than acquiring only theoretical knowledge. He also stressed upon exploring new avenues in the field of manufacturing industries. The students were highly motivated by his speech and clarified their doubts.  Mr.Sivakumar Asst.Prof. of Mechanical Engineering Department proposed the vote of thanks.

A felicitation meeting was held in our Conference Hall, on 12^th October 09 to felicitate Miss R. Nithya, for securing 40^th rank in B.E. (ECE) exams in Anna University Chennai. Principal Prof. M. Palanikumar presided, and appreciated R. Nithya for becoming one of the toppers in the university examination.

Miss R. Nithya in her interaction with the students explained the strategies which she adopted in her studies. In her opinion, it is not hard work that matters, but only smart work that is important in scoring high marks. Smart work is the process of selecting the important topics in each subject, with the help of the previous university question papers, and focusing upon them with serious involvement. She asked the students to keep improving themselves, by consistent efforts in each semester.

Director Mr. Vijayshrenivas congratulated Miss R. Nithya on her achievement.

   As a part of our initiative to improve the relationship between the industry and the institute; the Dept.of Mechanical Engg.takes time to time several steps.One such initiative, is a lecture session by our alumni Mr. M.ARUMUGAKARTHIKEYAN B.E Mech 2005-2009.

He is working currently in Hi-Tech Arai Pvt Ltd,Madurai, as an Engineer in R&D.He explained about the current industrial scenario and  the companies expectation from the engineers and the measures to be taken to get familiarized with the real time situation.
