We are delighted to share that Mr.R.Manickam of 2009-2013 Batch interacted with our final year mechanical students. He is Presently working as a "QUALITY ENGINEER" in NISKI INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED, CHENNAI. He motivated the students to concentrate more on the final year project work. He shared the industrial expections, opportunities and several exposures to the students. He urged them to improve their communication skills and to develop more patience and tolerance. The session was more interactive and fruitful.
We are happy to share that Mr.M.Balan of 2006-2010 Batch interacted with our prefinal and final year mechanical students. He is Presently working as a "PRODUCT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT" in HCL, Bangalore. He shared his valuable experiences with the students. He also motivated the students to get prepared themselves for aptitude test, techical screening test and HR interviews etc., He urged them to improve their communication skills which is most important for them in future. He asked them to have a good foundation in Basic Subjects and get them enhanced in designing software packages. The session was more interactive and fruitful.
Suresh Kumar of 2008-2012 Batch shares his experience with the students of Electrical Engineering. He is presently working as a Project Engineer in Indaid limited, a Chennai based furnace company and he got selected through the on campus. He explained the operations of the plant and give more information regarding the skills needed to acquire a job in Electrical field.
He interacted with the students and discussed about the technicalities involved such as automation in his nature of job. The students found the session to be highly productive.
Er.R.Selvam, MMC Corporation, Vadapalani, Chennai, an Alumini of our college (Batch 2006-2010) interacted with our present pre-final year students on 24-02-2011. He encouraged the students to undergo special training courses such as Embedded Systems, PLC, etc, apart from their regular curriculum in order to achieve better placements in industrial side. He shared his experience about grabbing the opportunities and facing the interviews. The students also interacted with him and understood the present industrial needs.
Er.A.Ponvignesh, Alumini of EEE Department visited our college on 07-01-2011. He is presently working as a Software Developer in Sony Corporation , Japan.
He guided the students to have in-depth knowledge in the subject, which will help them to apply while working in a company.
He also informed the students to explore the possibilities of jobs at abroad.
He said “ Technical knowledge along with good Communication skills can be launch pad for a successful career”.
Ramachandran- a Mechanical Engineer, Class of 2010, Vickram College of Engineering had an active interaction with the Ist year students of Mechanical Engineering. He is currently working as Design Engineer at Millicent Industries,Gujrat.In his discussion with the students he said that ' Technical knowledge along with communication skill goes a long way towards professional growth". He advised the students to graduate as Engineers without any arrears within the four years of stipulated time. He further said that the scope of Mechanical Engineering is wide open in the field of Marine,Electrical and Aero-space.The knowledge of the technical domain like Auto-CAD,Pro E ...etc can be very fruitful to work in the industry. The session proved to be worthwhile and effective for stiumulating the minds of the freshers. Administrative Officer Mr.S.Nagarajan ,Asst. Prof. P.Sivakumar and Asst.Prof. Uma Maheshwaran graced the programme with their presence.
ANISH V.A. of 2005-2009 Batch shares his experience with the students of Mechanical Engineering. He is presently working as a Technical Support Officer in the Singapore Shipping Corporation. He asked the students to explore the avenues in the shipping company. He further said that the opportunities for the Mechanical Engineering Students are wide open and it is up to the individual to utilize the right opportunities at the right time.
In the Second Half, he interacted with the students and discussed about the technicalities involved in his nature of job. The students found the session to be highly productive.
Abdul samed and Mohammed Ismail the alumini of Civil department had an informal intercation with their juniors (prefinal year students).Mr L Ponraj sankar head of the civil department organised the meeting. Abdul working as a site Engineer in EMAS Engineering and contracters chennai, said that the "persons without arrears are treated in a better way in the concern, and they are places quickly..." and Ismail Working as lecturer in Mohammed Engineering college Trichy, abide the words and he added that the project work plays a vital role in the interview.... Intercation was for 45minutes on the whole.
To enrich the students with different aspects of paper presentation and placement and to make them trendy, the department of electronics and communication engineering organized an interactive session for the pre final year students. G. Vaidhyanathan of 2006-2010 batch had a very interesting session with the students on paper presentation techniques like selection of the topic, how to write the paper and presentation skills. His paper got the best paper award in IIT, Delhi by which he proved that IIT is reachable for VCE students. He also presented his paper in an international conference held at France. He shared all these experience with the students and how the college contributed to his talents and skills. Students were highly motivated and they thanked the department for taking initiative to conduct programmes of these kinds. Vaidyanathan was very keen in clarifying students doubts on placements, group discussion and interview techniques. He encouraged the students to fly high.
He got placed in various companies like Continental Corporation , Visteon Automotive, Slash Support, Pace and Atyati Technologies - Bangalore. He has also started a soft skill consultancy OpenIT. LLC.
