An open source OS in Tamil
UBUNTU an open source operating system launched in 2004 & used by many people who hate the system of using licenced software because of its very high cost and their stupid conditions (used in our college) now released its tamil version.
Two schools in Malaysia teach computer to their 500 students by Tamil UBUNTU OS.
http://ubuntu-tam.org/vaasal/request-ubuntu-cd
and you can get free Tamil ubuntu cd.
Hence it is an open source OS in which any one has the right to develope the ubuntu.
The main 2 requirements are
1.You have to know Tamil.
2.Passion with the developement of ubuntu.
So many people are working together to develope Tamil ubuntu along with some organisations such as Chennai GNU/LINUX Group,NRCFOSS etc.
You may improve it to any extent without the permission of any one.

Note:
1. If your software for windows is not working in ubuntu install WINE which is available at www.winehq.org ( but it is not 100% reliable)
2. Now Dell Laptops are marketed with ubuntu OS & even some mobile companies are going to use ubuntu.
