MECH INTELECTIUM 2010 - AN OVERVIEW

Prof.S.Abdul Karim Sait, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Chairman of Vickram Group of Institutions Mr.M.k.S Sreenivasan gave the Presidential Address.In his speech he said that students must take maximum advantage from these kind of Technical Symposiums and utilize this opportunity to interact with the experts and improve their employability skills. He also said that Mechanical Engineers have vital role to play in all the sectors of the economy. The Chief-Guest Mr. S.Sankar Narayanan,Managing Director,SANMAC Machines (P) Ltd.,Madurai spoke about the opportunities which are wide-open and the students must grab it with both the hands.He further said that the students must not confine themselves to one area, on the contrary they must explore other avenues available in the industry.He said that 'Change is the only thing which is constant'.After his speech various competitions like Paper Presentation,Project Display,Quiz, Logo Design and 'Mind-Blow'were held. Paper Presentation was judged by Dr.P.L.KPalaniyappan,Assistant Professor,Thiagarajar College of Engineering,Madurai.
