Training on "CCNA Routing and Switching" - Report

A 12 day training programme on “CCNA - Routing and Switching” was organized by Department of ECE associated with Sansbound Chennai. They covered a vast syllabus on Networking. The session was handled by Mr. Dhanasekaran, Mr. Vijayan, Mr.Ezhilarasan and Mr.Sam Saji.

The main topics covered for the session was about static and dynamic routing using cisco routers. Dynamic routing protocols like RIP, EIGRP and OSPF were shown practically using an original routers setup that was arranged in the labs. They also discussed about PPP, Frame relay, HDLC, ISDN, Access list-standard and extended. A half day practical session was conducted in all days during the training period. A hands on experience was given by the trainers in the original setup that was arranged in the lab. This training helped students to gain a lot of information about the networking concepts and also some of the firewall mechanisms.

The trainers also included about the placement schemes in their company for the students who have undergone the training. Thus the training programme has created self confidence and a pavement to build their career with a good number of opportunities.
