Guest Lecture on “ Improvement of End use Efficiency” - Report

Department of Electrical and Electronics organized a Guest Lecture on “ Improvement of End use Efficiency” on 20th July, 2015. Programme started with Welcome Address by J.Pavithra of IV Year EEE. The Guest Speaker honoured by Prof.G.Karmegam, Professor / EEE and J.Mohammed Feros Khan, Assist. Prof & Head and Dept. of EEE..

The Guest speaker for this programme Er.C.Kannan working as a Senior Manager,TANGEDCO, Madurai. He gave a detailed explanation about the importance of Conserving the Electrical Energy for our nation as well as the mankind. He explained that 100 units of energy in coal is converted into 40 units of energy as Electricity. And 100 units of Electricity has 3 units transmission losses. Further Distribution losses load losses included. So finally 100 units of energy in coal is nearly converted in to 21 units of which is the ratio of 1 : 5 .

Instead of CRT & LED TV buy LCD TVs

Instead of Geyser Water Heater install Solar Water Heaters


 

In his last session he explained about the safety measures to be followed in Electrical Equipments. And causes of External Current through the body .
