Topic: Design and Proposal of Fingerprint technique in election process.
Abstract:
Security has become a fundamental component of every individual’s life. So we are in need of strong authentication technologies that provide high degree of certainty. Biometrics is one such strong authentication technology. Though there are many biometric techniques, FINGERPRINT is by far the most successful technique among them because of its ease of use, non-intrusiveness and reliability.
In our paper, we propose fingerprint technology in election process. The process goes like this: We get the details of every person who are eligible for voting (Above 18 years) along with fingerprint and photocopy and stored in five databases using fingerprint classification for easy retrieval and fingerprint matching to avoid duplication.
During polling, when a person gives his fingerprint, it is scanned and checked with the already stored database and if it is matched the lock on polling machine is unlocked and he can give his vote. Once he had voted, his database will be locked so that he can’t vote again anywhere in India. Our goal is “FAIR ELECTION”.

Topic: Juggler.
Abstract:
In many situation additional interface to provide the mobile user. It enhances the network flow; handoff times and provides sideband communication with neighbor peers. This virtual network multiplexing the single interface across more than one communication endpoint. The switching time is too high in existing implementation. In this paper it describes the link layer implementation in virtual 802.11 network layer called juggler. By this the switching time is approximately 3ms and less than 400 µs in certain constrain. Juggler can provide instantaneous handoff between base stations or support a modest sideband channel with peer nodes. Without degrading the performance.
Participatory Prize

M.Abdulla and R.Perathu Selvan,

Topic: Security Analysis of SSL.3.0 protocol.
Abstract:
The SSL protocol is intended to provide a practical,application-layer,widely  applicable connection oriented mechanism for Internet client/servercommunications security. This note gives a detailed technical analysis of the cryptographic strength of the SSL 3.0  protocol. A number of minor flaws in the protocol and several new active attacks on SSL are presented; however, these can be easily corrected without overhauling the basic structure of  the protocol. I conclude that, while there are still a few technical wrinkles to iron out, on the  whole SSL 3.0 is a valuable contribution towards practical communications security.
