Guest-Lecture by Dr.R.A Alaguraja

                   A Lecture on Satellite Image Processing was given by a profound scholar Dr. R.A Alaguraja of TCE for the students of CSE and IT. He stressed upon the fact that every object is surrounded by Electro Magnetic Radiation which is an essential element in extracting the objects upon the earth’s surface. The collected raw data are then processed in the laboratory by the experts using various techniques and algorithms to obtain the appropriate images. His case studies reveals his in depth knowledge of his subject and information about various fields where Image Processing are being used .The students were easily able to understand the concepts through his case studies. Finally, he discussed the concepts- Cloud Detection and Shadow Removal with the students. The Program came to the end with a cup of tea and vote of thanks.
