ICTACT-Soft Skills Training-Report

A two day workshop was organized by ICTACT SkillEdge on “Verbal Communication” in our college premises on 14.02.'12 and 15.02.'12. Ms. Anuradha Ramakrishnan from ICTACT was the resource person and she laid importance on equiping the students with the skills that are required in an industry. To break the monotony of the normal class – room atmosphere, she also suggested some activities which would train the students to face their interviews at ease and confidence. Discourses of great personalities like Martin Luther King, Steve Jobs were also played to underline the importance of an effective communication. Efforts were also made to perform certain activities like Debate, Discussion, Probing questions to a personality, Letter of Recommendation etc. It actually involved animated participation of the staff members who were offered better perspectives in orgainzing such sessions in a novel manner.
