There was an On-Campus Recruitment Drive for a Trivandrum-based Software Company called Srishti Innovative Computer Systems P Ltd., held in our campus on 20th April 2013. Nearly 30 students participated in this drive – 11 Students from ECE, 14 Students from CSE, & 5 Students from IT. The selection process for software professionals was of 3 stages – namely, On-line Test, Technical Interview & Final Interview in the company premises.

 

After the presentation about the company, there was an On-line Test conducted for all the participants by the company officials. The short-listed students were 12. And these students attended the Technical Interview. After the Technical Interview, seven students got selected for the Final Interview. Of these 7 short-listed candidates, the following 4 students were selected for Software Trainees:: 1) Alex John Wright, ECE, 2) D. Hemath Kumar, CSE, 3) V. Kalaivani, IT, 4) D. Kishore, IT. The following three students got selected for Marketing Positions: 1) T. Sindhuja, CSE, 2) K. Fathima Nachiyar, CSE, & 3) C. Punithavalli, IT.

 

However, for the Final Interview which was held on 17th May 2013 in the company premises, only two students attended – D. Hemanth Kumar, CSE, & D. Kishore, IT. Ultimately, it was D. Hemanth Kumar, CSE, who got selected as Software Engineer by the Company.

 

There was an On-Campus Recruitment Drive conducted for Volkswagen Madurai on 28th January 2013. The selection process consisted of Group Discussion and Interview. It was handled by the General Manager of the Company Sri K.G. Ramesh. The selection was for the position of Marketing Executives. And the monthly salary is Rs. 12,000/- Plus Incentives. The selection process was thrown open to all Final Year Students, who would have no arrears, while joining the organization. Nearly 38 students participated – 13 from Mechanical Engg, 19 from EEE, 2 from ECE, & 4 from CSE.

 

First of all, there was a Pre-Placement Talk by Sri K.G. Ramesh, General Manager-Admin. He talked about the types of cars being sold in his organization called Ramani Cars Pvt Ltd., H-11. SIDCO Industrial Estate, GST Road, Kappalur, Madurai-625008. He explained that the marketing executives should have technical knowledge of different types of cars, which are sold in his organization. He said that the selection is for handling Volkswagen Cars.

 

The collected students were divided into four groups. And each group was given a topic to discuss upon. The first group had discussion on The Use of Mobile Phone – its Advantages & Disadvantages, and the second group discussed on Population Explosion – its Plus Points & Minus Points, and the third group had interaction on The Impact of Media & Social Networking, & the fourth group discussed on Educational System – its Pros & Cons.

After the Group Discussion, the list of shortlisted candidates were announced: 1) V. Srinivasa Ragavan, Mech, 2) G. Vellaichamy, Mech, 3) M. Gowtham, Mech, 4) G. Raja, Mech, 5) S. Aarthy, EEE, 6) D. Andrews Lesly, EEE, 7) R. Vigneshwar, EEE, 8) R. Maheshswaran, EEE, 9) N. Sangaranarayanan, EEE, 10) J. Jaishree, EEE, 11) P. Hiritharan, ECE, 12) S. Abinaya, CSE, 13) T. Sindhuja, CSE, & 14) K. Fathima Nachiyar, CSE.

Of these short-listed students, the following five attended the final interview held in Ramani Cars Pvt Ltd., on 23rd April 2013 -- 1) V. Srinivasa Ragavan, Mech, 2) G. Vellaichamy, Mech, 3) G. Raja, Mech, 4) R. Vigneshwar, EEE, 5) P. Hiritharan, ECE. The following two students have been selected for appointment in the company: 1) V. Srinivasa Ragavan, Mech, & 2) P. Hiritharan, ECE.
