Vickram College of Engineering in association with Small Industries Product Promotion Organisation (SIPPO), a joint venture of National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC, a Govt. of India Enterprise), Tamilnadu Small Industries Development Corporation (TANSIDCO, a  Tamilnadu Govt. Undertaking) is organizing 3-Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs) Sponsored by Department of National Science and Technology Govt.of.India from 16th August 2016 to 18 August 2016 at Vickram College of Engineering, Enathi.

The Programme aims at promoting entrepreneurship as a career option among students. Students get opportunities to interact with experts and get detailed information on various business opportunities under one roof.

PROGRAMME SCHEDULE:

Day 1   -   16.08.2016

Session  I - Inauguration

Session II - Support and financial assistance from Govt. agencies, Banks, financial Institution, SFCs and others-securities demanded by FIs/Banks etc. by Shri. Muruga Prabhu, Ex. Lead District Manager, Canara Bank, Madurai.

Session III- Mechanism of product selection and technology assistance from R& D Labs and others on choice of technology etc. by Ms. Uma, MBA Dept. Director,Fatima College.

Session IV- Creativity and Business the man behind the venture – the behavioral scientist’s approach by Mr.Kumaraguru, JCI, India , Madurai.

Day 2   -   17.08.2016

Session  I- Communication skills (interacting with people for better results) by  Shri.M.Vijaya Gupta, JCI India,Madurai.

Session II- Identification of Opportunities for entrepreneurs by  Mrs.R.Nazeem Banu, Programme Manager, SIPPO.

Session  III- How to start a SSI unit (General concept about the Govt. formalities,rules & regulation, location and different aspect of an industrial venture by Mr.Aranganal, Ex.GM, DIC.

Session IV- Technical  & Commercial aspects of SSI unit (General concept only) by Mr.Aranganal, Ex.GM, DIC.

Day 3  -  18.08.2016

Session  I- Financial aspects of SSI unit including salient features of a project report by Mr.Vasirajan, Development Officer.

Session II - Historical background- Indian Values vis-à- vis Entrepreneurship and the present scenario by Mr.Joesph, Prog.Co-ordinator.

Session III - Practicing entrepreneur’s success stories & common problems faced by entrepreneurs by Shri.S.Rajagopal, Chairman& Managing Director,SIPPO.

Session IV - Factory visit
