About the Seminar:
An inevitable consequence of development and industrial progress is the generation of waste. Therefore, efficient waste management is a matter of international concern and countries have set up robust waste management regulatory for balancing the objectives of development and environment sustainability. In India, the National Environmental Policy 2006 suggests measures for controlling various forms of environmental pollution and lays emphasis on the need for treatment systems for recycling wastes and devising measures for safe disposal of residues. Waste management is governed by the various sub-ordinate legislation and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in conjunction with the State Pollution Control Boards of different states, administer the gamut of waste management regulations.
OBJECTIVES:
To share ideas and experience with respect to industrial waste management and control techniques.
To discuss the knowledge generated from national and international industrial waste management projects.
To exhibit the global practices in managing industrial waste and its impact.
To analyze the financial implication of industrial waste treatment techniques.
To create awareness on the environmental,economic and social impacts of industrial waste techniques
