There was an on-campus recruitment drive for Aqua Power Engineering – a Chennai-based Water Plant Installation Company, held on Saturday, 5th May 2012. Final Year Students of Mechanical Engg & EEE participated in this event. The company was represented by its Development Officer Sri M. Karthik. First of all, there was a pre-placement talk by the company official, who highlighted the products of the company and the nature of work of service engineers.
The monthly salary is Rs.18,000/- after 6 months of training. There were two stages in the selection process – Written Test, & Interview. Nearly 41 Final Year Students of Mechanical Engineering, and 19 Final Year Students of EEE attended the drive and went through the selection process of the company. After the evaluation of test papers, 21 students got short-listed for the interview – 16 from Mechanical Engg, & 5 from EEE. In the afternoon, the interview was held for the short-listed candidates.
