Pooled Drive for West Line Ship Management Pvt Ltd to be Conducted on 13th February 2015

This is to inform that there is a Pooled Drive for a Shipping Company called West Line Ship Management Pvt Ltd to be held in our campus on Friday, 13th February 2015.  Final Year Students of all Engineering Colleges are invited to participate in the drive.  Following are the details:

• Name of the Company: West Line Ship Management Pvt Ltd., Ahmedabad-380009, Gujarat
• Eligibility: Final Year Engineering Students of all Disciplines – Civil Engg., Mechanical Engg., EEE, ECE, & CSE
• Positions for Recruitment: Recruitment will be for Officers in 3 Domains – namely, 1) Engine Department, 2) Electrical Department, & 3) Navigation Department. 
• How Many Vacancies are there for Recruitment?  The Company requires 260 trainee seamen
• Position for Mechanical Engg Students: Mechanical Engg Students will be considered for Engine Department, and they will be posted as Trainee Marine Engineers
• Position for EEE & ECE Students: They will be considered for Electrical Department, and they will be posted as Trainee Electro-Technical Officers
• Position for Civil Engg & CSE Students: They will be considered for Navigation Department, and they will be posted as Trainee Navigating Officers.
• Training: After being selected, the candidates will have to undergo 2 Year Training in the Company Premises.  The training is of two phases – namely, 1) Pre-sea Training lasting for a year, and the cost is Rs. 5.5 lakhs, which is borne through bank loan, arranged by the company, & 2) On-board Training for a year, when the trainees will be paid monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/- to Rs. 25,000/-, and bank loan availed by the candidates during Pre-Sea Training will be repaid through stipend
• Posting After the Completion of 2 Years of Training: Employment will be effected in shipping companies as officers on a monthly salary of Rs. 1.5 lakhs, and the monthly salary is bound to rise to Rs. 9 lakhs after a few years of service.
