This is to inform that there is a Campaign for Selection of Candidates as Mechanical Engineers in a Singapore-based Shipping Company to be held on 16th August 2011 in our college campus . The name of the company is Executiveship Management Pvt Ltd., Singapore. It operates 150 ships around the world.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Final Year B.E. Mechanical Engineering Students, with 55% of Marks, or B.E. Mechanical Engineering Graduates, who Passed out in 2011, with 55% of Marks
  2. 10th to 12th Std English: 55% of Marks
  3. Arrears, if any in the B.E. Examination, should be completed, while joining the company
  4. Medically Fit

Selection process:

  1. Psychometric Test – One Hour
  2. Technical Test – One Hour
  3. Panel Interview by Shipping Company Authorities

The selected candidates will be on one year training at Samundra Institute, Lonovala, near Mumbai, after which they will be absorbed into the shipping company as Junior Engineers on a salary of $ 700 per month. Training fees of Rs. 4,00,000/- can be paid through bank loan.

 

Advantages in Shipping Career (given by the company):

  1. There is scope for Junior Engineers to rise up to the level of Chief Engineer in a span of 4 to 5 years, when the salary will be $9000 per month.
  2. For the salary drawn by the marine engineers, there is no tax deduction at all.
  3. Besides, recruited engineers will travel around the world, and have exposure to global culture.
  4. They will have good number of holidays to be at home with their families once in a year.
  5. Salary will be given only in dollars.
  6. Flight charges will be paid by the company, while joining the ship.
  7. Family can join the officer of higher rank.

It is requested that interested students be present in our campus at 9.00 a.m., on 16th August 2011.
Registration Fee payable by each of the participating candidates is Rs.50/- .

Our college bus services are available near Kattabomman Statue, Periyar Bus Stand, as well as near the Exit Point, Mattuthavani Bus Stand, at 7.30 a.m., on 16th August 2011. Participants, who come to the indicated spots later than 7.45 a.m., will have to make their arrangements to arrive at the college.
