There was an On-Campus Recruitment Drive conducted in our campus on 8^th March 2014. The recruitment was to a reputed automobile company, known as Motherson Automotive Technologies & Engineering – which manufactures all kinds of plastic parts used in the assembling of cars by companies, like Hyundai, Ford, Mauruti, etc. The company staff who came for recruitment were 1) Sri C. Ebenraj Paniel, AGM-HR, & 2) Sri R. Nithianandam, Asst. Manager-HR.

The selection process consisted of Group Discussion, & Personal Interview. Final Year Diploma Students of three branches – namely, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, & Eletrical and Electronics Engineering, participated in the selection process for MATE. The recruitment drive started with a Pre-Placement Talk, by Sri C. Ebenraj Paniel, AGM – HR, who insisted upon a few important traits for getting selected – 1) Interest to Work in Motherson, 2) Discipline to Work in the company, 3) Team Work in the industrial manufacturing process, & 4) the Spirit of Learning & Improvement. Candidates who cannot evince these essential traits will be misfits in any organization. He advised the students to Work & to Keep Improving every day in their professional career. He had interaction with students. He stated that Rs. 9800/- is the CTC (Cost to Company), in the first year of their service, and Rs.10800/- the CTC in their second year of service.

After the selection process, 20 students got selected, and they were issued offer letters, in the presence of the Joint Secretary of our College, Sri M.S. Vikram. However, Sri C. Ebenraj Paniel, AGM – HR assured at the offer-giving function that there will be two more batches of students, who will get selected in June, & July 2014, based on their completion of arrear papers. Srimathi A.L. Jeeva Princy, Principal-in-charge organized this event in a well-co-ordinated manner.
