There was an on-campus recruitment drive for TVS Rubber Factory conducted in Vickram Polytechnic College on 11^th January 2013. The eligible candidates for participation in this campaign were 25 Final Year Students of Mechanical Engg., & 4 Final Year Students of Automobile Engg., who had no arrears in their Board Examinations. The selection process was done by the Asst. HR Manager Sri J. Gopinath. The recruitment drive commenced with a pre-placement talk by Sri J. Gopinath, who made a powerpoint presentation about the growth and development of TVS Rubber Factory, and the products manufactured by the organization.

Only 25 students participated – 22 from Mechanical Engg., & 3 from Automobile Engg. Written Test was conducted for them for half an hour. Then, the answer scripts of the examinees were evaluated under the direction of the HR Manager. After evaluation, 21 students got short-listed – 19 from Mechanical Engg., and 2 from Automobile Engg.

In the afternoon, the interview was conducted for these 21 short-listed students. Finally, 18 students got selected for appointment in the company – 16 from Mechanical Engg., and 2 from Automobile Engg. The HR Manager Sri J. Gopinath announced that offer letters would be sent to the college in a week's time.
